A home theater set is now a part of common household. In many houses, the home theater set would even be placed in a room which is sound proof to ensure the sound quality during the movie show. Although many people would feel the movie theater sensation by dimming or turning off the lights, it is actually the sound that allows them experience of a movie theatre, and not the lights or popcorn. On the market, there is an abundance of home theater sound systems available in a large variety of makes, models, brands and price. However, if you prefer the ‘invisible’ speakers so as not to take up space in the movie room, then the ceiling speakers are probably the best choice.

When you are renovating or building a house, it is the best time for you to decide where to place the ceiling speakers. Beginning with deciding which room is going to be used as the home theater, you can have the ceiling floor cut to fit the size of the frame of the ceiling speakers in such a way so that the speakers will produce surround sound. Although these types of speakers will indeed provide incredible sound later on when the installation jobs are done, the planning and the process certainly take more effort than installing the regular speakers.

Speakers that are placed in the ceiling are substantially of the same mechanism as wall speakers or other regular speakers, but the ceiling speakers are framed in such a way to ensure the stability and mounted in the ceiling. This way, the speakers will not take up any space on the floor. The speakers in the ceiling surely can produce the surround sound and in many ways, ceiling speakers can even provide a more surround sound than the regular system in that the sound source comes from above the audience. This makes it possible for the sound to spread from above to the center, sides, front, and back of the audience allowing them to experience the movie theater ambience.

Ceiling speakers are remarkably suitable for those who prefer not to have their room filled with furniture or equipment. By having the speakers placed up above, the room can be maximized for settee that can hold more people in. Although the concept of using up the space in the ceiling is incredibly suited for small houses, of course large residence can also take advantage of its saving space feature.
